Cellphone Etiquette at Funerals

In today’s age, it can be tough to realize when our cellphone usage is becoming excessive. Due to their size and convenience, cellphones naturally travel with us wherever we go, even funerals. Phone Volume When preparing to attend a funeral service , it is absolutely essential that you ensure that your phone is either turned off or on silent. There is little else more disrespectful than a cellphone going off in the middle of a service. To be safe, we advise against even putting your phone on vibrate as this can still possibly disturb the service, especially during a moment of silence. In our opinion, it is always best to play it safe and either shut your cellphone down completely or make sure it is on silent mode. If you absolutely must require your phone to be on in case of an emergency, then we recommend that you walk out of the service periodically to check it.
