Adela "Adelita" Vasquez
June 11, 1932 — November 2, 2014
WESLACO - Adela (Adelita) Vasquez, 82, beloved mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Edinburg. Adelita was born in Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on June 11, 1932.
Adelita was a member of the Legion de Maria Capilla De Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe and served as an Eucharist Ministry. She worked for Weslaco School District for over 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Vasquez and her son Jorge (Kookie) Vasquez. Adelita is survived by her daughters Maria Pineda, Irma Rincon and Marina Vasquez and her son Carlos (Ruth) Vasquez. Also, numerous of grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Saul Pineda, Joel Pineda, Orlando Vasquez, Abraham J. Vasquez, Patricia Vasquez, Abel Rincon, Samuel Rincon, Jorge Vasquez and Arturo Vasquez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 10am - 9pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco with a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2pm at La Capilla De Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe in Weslaco with Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
