Adrian Lee Davis

Adrian Lee Davis, 69, passed away January 5, 2015 at McAllen Heart Hospital. He was born September 10, 1945 in Stockton, California to Homer and Ruth Jones Davis and grew up in Donna, Texas. He graduated from Donna High School in 1964 and attended Pan American College in Edinburg from 1964 to 1966.
Adrian enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1966. He married Doris Hilton of Alamo, Texas. After his training they began their new life together in San Antonio, Texas where he was stationed at Kelly Air Force Base.
After receiving an honorable discharge he returned to Donna to help with the family Farm.
Adrian was a friendly and outgoing person who made many lifelong friends. He applied his hand at several different careers over the years; police officer and a volunteer firefighter in Donna and for years as a detective with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s department. He worked as a crop insurance adjuster from 1990 to the present.
Adrian loved to fish and hunt, spending time with his sons and friends enjoying the great outdoors.
Adrian was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Doris Hilton Davis of Donna, Texas, his son Stephen (Rose) Davis of Inez, Texas, son James M. Davis of Donna, and son Justin Davis of Ozona, Texas, his sister Barbara Davis of Rockport, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
His family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of McAllen Heart Hospital for all the special care they provided as well as the help and care provided by special family friend Sandy Zamora.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, 1pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco with Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
