Alonzo Avalos

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Alonzo (Chito) Avalos , who was called home to our Lord Jesus Christ on September 23, 2024 at the age of 71. Alonzo was born in Weslaco, Texas on March 01, 1953. Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. 

Alonzo is survived by his spouse Diana Avalos; his children, Christina Avalos and James Eric Avalos; his daughter in law, April Avalos; and five grandchildren, Laelah Molina, Jacob Tamez, Josiah Molina, Andre James Avalos, and Eric Mathew Avalos; great grandchild, Violet E. Tamez. Alonzo is also survived by his brother Alejandro Avalos and three sisters, Juanita De Melendez, Dalia Ortiz and Dulia Valdez. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe & Josefina Avalos, his daughter Stephanie Avalos, his two brothers, Adolfo Avalos & Arturo Avalos, and his sister Yolanda Orta. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 @ 10 am. Location will be at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
