Weslaco - Amador Coronado Perez, beloved father, hard worker, and friend to many, passed away on November 30, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 13, 1961, in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Amador's life was defined by his dedication to his family and his strong work ethic.
Amador married his childhood sweetheart, Maria. The couple knew each other when they were in diapers and remained together until Maria's untimely passing in 2011. Amador never remarried.
Throughout his career, Amador worked for himself as a landscaper and lawn mower. He tirelessly serviced countless mid-valley homes with care and attention to detail. His commitment to his work was evident in the well-kept lawns and beautifully landscaped gardens that he left behind.
Amador will be remembered for his sense of humor and warm heart. Amador's love for cooking outdoors was another aspect of his life that brought joy to those close to him. Gathering with friends and family around a sizzling grill was one of his favorite pastimes. Amador had some recipes that he perfected over the years, one of which was his charro beans.
As a father, Amador was both strict and loving. He instilled essential values in his children while showering them with affection. His guidance shaped their lives and taught them the importance of hard work and perseverance. Amador's children will forever cherish the memories they shared as a family.
Amador also enjoyed riding his bike and playing the lottery in his free time. These activities brought him moments of relaxation and excitement.
Amador is preceded in death by his parents, Amador and Felicita Coronado, his loving wife, Maria, and brothers, Simon, Juan, Ezequiel, Jose Luis, and Damian Coronado.
He is survived by daughters Nancy Coronado (Joseph Martinez) and Alondra Coronado (Eric Rangel), sons Amador Coronado Jr and Carlos D. Coronado, siblings Arturo Coronado (Carmen), Amparo Coronado (Emiliano), Socorro Coronado, Francisca Alejandra Coronado (Juan Carlos Gonzalez), Rosa Coronado, Maria Guadalupe Coronado, grandchildren, Markus and Derrick Martinez, Einar Rangel, Isabela and Evelyn Coronado, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 3rd, from 1-9 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
