WESLACO - Amelia was born on November 10, 1949 in Weslaco, TX and entered the Kingdom of our Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Orchard Park Nursing Home. Amelia was a lifelong resident of Weslaco and was well known for working at Weslaco ISD for over 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Dolores Sandoval Vargas, her siblings Elvira Ramirez and Luis Vargas. Amelia is survived by her children Amelda Reyes, Elias Reyes Jr., Luis A. Lomas, her five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings Ofelia Vargas, Tencha Flores (Fidel⁺), Juanita Balli (Jose), Isabel Mercado (Alex⁺), and numerous nieces and nephews.
