Andres Tafolla

Weslaco-Andres Tafolla Sr., 75, passed away on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 30th, 1942 to Jesus and Casimira Tafolla. He grew up in Weslaco and worked as an entrepreneur most of his life, buying and re-selling goods for profit. He spent many years working at the local flea markets. Andres loved spending time with his family and friends and had a natural ability to make everyone laugh. He was a lot of fun to be around and always had a joke. Andres lived one day at a time and lived every day to the fullest. Andres is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Casimira Tafolla and his brothers, Jesus and Guadalupe Tafolla. He is survived by his children, Andres Jr., Rodrigo, Ricardo, Andrea, Roque, Reynaldo,Rafael, Dalia, Sandra, Elias, and Rene Tafolla and numerous grandchildren and nephews and nieces. , brother, Francisco Tafolla and sister Aurora Tafolla. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21st, from 2-9pm at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Val Verde Cemetery in Donna.
