Anna Beth Brown Guest

San Antonio/Weslaco - Anna Beth Guest, 93, passed away on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Anna was born on August 19th, 1929, in Corpus Christi to James and Rosa (Hays) Brown. Anna met her soulmate, George Donald “Don” Guest when she was a teenager. They had an instant connection, but Don had already enlisted in the Army. As soon as he returned, Anna and Don were married on February 18th, 1949, and spent the next fifty-three years together.

Anna and Don raised their children in Lyford, Texas. Don and his brother owned and operated Guest Construction Company for many years, and Anna was able to be a full-time homemaker. She was a great wife and mom and loved being around her children and later grandchildren.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosa Brown, loving husband, Don, and son, Donald “Cookie” Guest.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Guest (Peggy), daughter, Jan Clark (Jim), sister, Dorothy Kay “Dedo” Bullion, sister in law, Madeline Brown, grandchildren, Jason Guest (Candy), Amanda Guest, Jeffrey Guest (Kathy), Billy Kinsel (Bonnie), Danny McBride (Vanessa), Sarah Rodriguez, Rebecca “Becky” Guest, Chris Clark (Kathy), Michael Clark (Jennifer), Lindsey Durham (Jared), and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be on Friday, December 30th at 2 pm at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
