Anna Marie Rawlings, 95, passed away at John Knox Village on Saturday, July 20, 2019. She was born on February 19, 1924, to Royal Delaney and Lucille Cocagne Delaney in Assumption, Illinois. Anna grew up in Shelbyville, Illinois with her three younger sisters. After graduating from high school, she met her future husband, Raymond, and they spend the next 62 years together. Anna and Raymond raised two children, Sandra and Randy. Anna was a homemaker for most of her life. She also supported her husband in his business endeavors. After retiring they moved from Decatur to their farm in Ramsey Illinois. Anna and Raymond began wintering in Alamo Texas during the '70s and eventually retired in Alamo Country Club. After Raymond's passing, Anna moved to John Knox Village in Weslaco Texas. Anna was an avid card player. There was not a game she didn't know how to play and win. She also enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family. Anna was a lot of fun to be around and had a cheerful personality. Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Rawlings, parents, Royal and Lucile Delaney, her sisters, Lois Mars, Norma Massey, Mary Washburn, and great-grandson, Tanner Gillen. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Burcham, son, Randy Rawlings (Barbara) both of Alamo Texas. Grandchildren, Mark Burcham of Decatur, Michelle Burcham, Mitchell Burcham (Melody) Temple Texas, Angee Murray (Vince), Long Beach Ca, Amy Gillen (Scott), April Thornton (Josh), Decatur and Jason Ernst (Chiho), Santa Monica Ca. nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
