Aubrey L. Davis

LA FERIA - Aubrey L. Davis, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in La Feria. Aubrey was born on April 30th, 1942. He grew up in Mississippi. He joined the army and returned to Ohio, where he would meet the love of his life, Florence Ours. They were married on June 18th, 1966. He would work at the Ford plant for 19 years and then they would move to Kansas City, Missouri where he and Florence would raise their children, Margaret, Aubrey Jr., and James Mathew. Aubrey was always a very hard worker and great provider for his family. He worked as a security supervisor for 28 1/2 years for the Research Medical Center. He held two jobs for fourteen years, also working for Magnetic Imaging. Even when he and Florence moved to La Feria, he continued to work a for the UAW in Harlingen as a financial secretary. Aubrey had a unique outlook on life. He truly felt that everyday was a blessing. He and Florence helped raise three of their grandchildren. He loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He also loved football and baseball. Aubrey is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence Davis, his daughter, Margaret Beatrice Willits (Ronny), his sons Aubrey Lee Davis Jr. (Elsa), James Mathew Davis (Chassidy), all of Kansas City, Missouri, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
