Aurora Trevino

WESLACO – Aurora Trevino, 94, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at her residence alongside her family. Mrs. Trevino was born on March 3, 1920 in La Lajilla, N.L., Mexico to Pablo and Maria Octaviana Elizondo. She is proceeded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, her husband Luis Trevino and her son Leopoldo Trevino. Mrs. Trevino is survived by her sons, Armando Trevino (Aurora), Margarito Trevino, her daughter Ninfa Hill (David) of Weslaco, TX, her son Jose Luis Trevino (Diana), daughter-in-law Aurora Trevino of Reedley, CA, her son Lisandro Trevino of Ann Arbor, MI, her 3 sisters, Maria Santos Martinez, Maria Trinidad Salinas of Weslaco, TX and Maria de Jesus Cantu of Mission, TX. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held at McCaleb Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 1pm – 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will also be available on Saturday, January 3133, 2015 from 9am-12pm followed with mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 1pm. Officiating the mass with be Rev. Francisco J. Solis. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Guelita Aurora will be greatly missed; she was a strong, wonderful and loving woman.
