Weslaco- Betty Pfrimmer, 91, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019. She was born on March 15, 1928, to Raymond Sinclair and Gladys Viertz Sinclair in Woodburn, Iowa. After Betty's mom's untimely death when she was only a few weeks old, she was raised by her grandparents, Michael and Minnie Viertz. She married Francis Pfrimmer on March 18, 1949, and they started a family. In 1971 Francis was transferred to Weslaco to set up the Pioneer Seed Corn Company, and they spent the rest of their lives in Weslaco. Many will remember Betty from her years at the Pioneer Seed Company where she worked as the secretary for many years. Betty was a great homemaker and spent most of her time raising the children and cooking meals for her family. She enjoyed cooking and ceramics, but mostly, she enjoyed being a wife, mom, and grandmom. She adored her grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Gladys Sinclair, grandparents who raised her, Michael and Minnie Viertz, loving husband of 62 years, Francis Pfrimmer, and her son, Michael Francis Pfrimmer. She is survived by her daughter, Gladys McKenna (John) of Harlingen, son, Patrick Pfrimmer (Esther) of Crestview, Florida, grandchildren, John McKenna III (Andrea) of Pflugerville, Texas, Kathleen McKenna of Harlingen, Heather Nicole Fleischer (Eric) of Beaverton, Oregon, Jennifer Pfrimmer of Pensacola, Florida, and Nathan Patrick Pfrimmer (Jasmine) of Crestview, Florida, great-grandchildren, Renan Fleischer and Aiden Martin.
