Betty Simpson

WESLACO - Betty Simpson, 85, born Mary Elizabeth Willard, passed away on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. She was born on July 7th, 1933 in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was a long time resident of Union Mills, NC. After retiring, she fell in love with South Padre Island, TX, and became a "Winter Texan", where she permanently moved to in 2016. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold Simpson, daughters Debbie Kelley and Stephanie Simpson, son Stephen Simpson and his wife, Beth, granddaughter, Lindsay Mackey, and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will observe a private family funeral. Your words of comfort to the family are welcomed. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers, to your local no-kill humane society.
