WESLACO – Beulah Marie Sanchez-Desiga, born on April 20, 1950 passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the age of 65 after battling Heart Disease for over 9 years. She was the daughter of the late Armando J. and Beulah Sanchez. Beulah was the oldest and loved spending time with her siblings Norma Linda and Buckley. Beulah enjoyed spending most of her time with family, especially her grandchildren. She had a sassy attitude and was always one to have good stories and great jokes. She graduated high school and 2 years later married her husband Jose Guadalupe Desiga Jr. After their marriage they lived in Germany for 1 year as he was stationed there after the Vietnam War. Beulah was employed with the Weslaco Independent School District where she retired as a Migrant Recruiter. Beulah took pride in her job and loved her coworkers. Every Christmas she made sure to make time to make her famous cheeseballs for friends, coworkers, and family. In 1975 Beulah had been blessed with her first daughter Stacey. Her family continued to grow and she was blessed with 2 sons Brandon in 1982 and Trae in 1984. Beulah dedicated and lived her life solely to please her family. She was an active part of her children’s activities and was a devoted working and loving mother. Activities she enjoyed were baking, crosswords, and reading “the news” The Enquirer. Beulah enjoyed spending her time with her children. What brought the most joy to her was being a grandma. She devoted and spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren, having a different individualized goodbye saying to each one of them. Beulah is survived by her Husband Jose Guadalupe Desiga Jr., Siblings Norma Linda (Daniel) Cantu and Buckley Neil (Debbie) Sanchez. Daughter Stacey (Joseph) Martinez and sons, Brandon Lee Desiga and Trae (Narcie) Desiga. Grandchildren Samantha and Sydney Partida, Devyn Desiga, and Allie and Kylie Desiga.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 1pm - 9pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco is in charge of her funeral arrangements.
