McAllen- Bobby Charles Oldham, 77, passed away at McAllen Medical Center on Sunday, May 14th, 2023. Bobby was born on September 19th, 1945, to James Thomas and Amy Lonette (Armstrong) Oldham in Florence, Alabama. Bobby grew up in Missouri and moved to Kentucky. He joined the airforce, and after being honorably discharged, he moved back to Kentucky. He spent the rest of his career working in the medical field.
Bobby was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also musically inclined and loved playing the guitar.
Bobby was significantly involved in his church. He played in the band and choir and helped facilitate Bible study groups, prayer groups, and any other duties he was asked to help with.
Bobby was a lot of fun. He lit up the room with his smile and always had a nice joke to break the ice. He was outgoing and had never met a stranger.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Thomas and Ricky Oldham, and sister, Betty Murphy.
He is survived by his children, Elisha Lee (Angel Macias) of Alamo, Kristen Simeone (Mike) of Portageville, MO, Charles Oldham, Juliann Little (Travis), and John Thomas Oldham, all of Paducah, KY; brother, Mike Oldham, grandchildren, Zachary Dobbs, Megan Abney, Emma Grace, and Canaan Holmes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
