Mission: Carlos Enrique “Keke” Villarreal Chapa, 53, passed away at Knapp Medical Center on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023. He was born on November 9th, 1970 to Carlos Villarreal Gonzalez and Maria Hilda Chapa Villarreal.
Keke studied engineering in college. He started his career in Mexíco and loved working. He always had a great work ethic.
When Keke wasn’t working, his favorite sport was soccer. He never missed a game, and his favorite team was Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, internationally known as Tigres de Mexíco. The games were even more exciting when his friends or family were together. He loved his family. Often, Keke would barbecue or cook for them.
Keke also enjoyed coffee, action movies, and going fishing. He was funny, happy, and always had a positive attitude.
Keke was Catholic and lived as an example to others. He was always willing to help those in need.
He is survived by his parents, Carlos and Maria Villarreal, his partner, Gloria Chacon Mendoza, children, Gustavo Enrique Villarreal, Katya Paola Villarreal, Carlos Alberto Villarreal, sisters, Hilda San Juanita Fernandez (Tomas), Anabell Cruz (Cesar Flavio), and Karla Gabriela Fernandez (Juan Luis).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24th, from 10 am-9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 25th, noon, at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
