Celia Morales

Maria Celia H. Morales passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20th, 2014 at LifeCare Hospital in McAllen, Texas. Born October 25th, 1927 in Weslaco, Texas, to Santos and Pedro Hinojosa. She married her soul mate Victor G. Morales, Jr. and they were proud owners of the restaurant, La Azteca. She was a loving and caring mother to deceased Victor Javier (Irma) Morales, Nelda (Edinson) Coronado, Eduardo Morales, Norma (Juan) Garcia, Richard (Emma) Morales, Nora Morales, and Maria Celia Morales. Survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Celia was one of the first settlers in the town. As a soft spoken and compassionate mother, she will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 and Sunday, November 23, 2014 at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco from 3pm-9pm, with a rosary at 7pm on both days. Services will be held on Monday, November 24th, 2014 at McCaleb Funeral Home, followed by funeral mass at St. Joan of Arc and the burial at Highland Memorial in Weslaco, Texas starting at 9am.
