Charles Wesley (Wes) Norton IV was born in Norfolk, VA on October 1 st , 1994. He died in
Weslaco Texas on April 12, 2024. Wes was 29 years old. Wes was not married and had no
children. But he had a best friend in the Valley, Gama Garza, and had two dogs that he loved
dearly, GBear, a Rottie and Grizzley, an English bulldog. Wes loved “The Valley” and South
Padre Island beaches in Texas and moved there from Virgnia 6 years ago. He went to private
school at Nansemond Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, VA. Wes became interested in
Bodybuilding at the age of 18. He took classes and became a personal trainer and a
nutritionist. He wrote and published three books on bodybuilding and how to do posing for
bodybuilding shows. His body building career span of 10 years began at age 19 with his first
win in a The OCB Body Sculpting Open competition. After that he won many more competitions
and became a professional bodybuilder after winning a competition in Richmond, VA. From
there he won many more including the NPC Iron House Classic in McCallum, TX.
His father is Charles Wesley Norton III (Wes) and his mother is Brenda Russell Norton who live
in Zuni, VA Wes was adopted at birth and his birth mother is Deanna Hook (now McMillian)
and his birth father was Patrick Murphy, deceased. He has a half sister, Tori McMillian and half-
bother Ethan McMillian who reside in Virginia Beach, VA.
Wes’ only living grandparent is Katherine Crusenberry Russell in Marion VA
He has many aunts and uncles and cousins who miss him dearly.
There will be a burial of his URN with his ashes in a Norton family section of Baptist Union
Church Cemetery in Flatridge, VA in the summer.
The OCB community with Kevin Parrott and Marjorie Thrash who promote this show will be
celebrating his life and his career as a bodybuilder at the Colonial Open Bodybuilding
Championships in Williamsburg, VA on June 22, 2024.
