Cruz V Silva

Cruz Vargas Silva, 91, born May 3rd, 1926 in Saltillo, Coahuila. Mexico. passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Aurora Hospice Home in Weslaco. Cruz is survived by 9 children: Salomón Silva Jr. (Rose), Daniel Silva (America), Amelia Esther Jones, (John P.) Elizabeth S Lopez, Virginia Garza (Eli), José Luis Silva (Nancy), Armando Silva, Guillermina Silva Neal (Mike), and Mónica Silva. She is also survived by numerous grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren. Cruz, the widow of Salomón A. Silva, was known is Weslaco as a custodian with the Weslaco ISD, and co-owner of Silva's neighborhood grocery store. There will be a viewing at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco from 5-9 p.m., and a service from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov 26th. A graveside service will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco on Monday, Nov. 27th at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Richard R. Silva, Ray López, Jr., Ernesto Macias III, Mateo Macias, Joseph Garza, and Joshua A. Pemelton. The family wishes to thank the Aurora House Foundation and Kindred Hospice Agency for their compassionate and loving care of our mother while she transitioned her life journey.
