Deborah Fisher

February 9, 1950 — October 12, 2022

HARLINGEN - Debbie Fisher passed away on October 12, 2022 in Harlingen, Texas. Debbie was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio before moving to Texas 2 years ago to be with her children and grandchildren.

Debbie retired from Jeep after 30 years and went on to work with special needs adults until her move. Also known as Freddie, Clyde, Blanche, DF, BedLlab, and her favorite name of all, Nana, Debbie lived life to the fullest and her greatest wish is that we celebrate the good times we had with her. Always the caregiver, Deb was an organ donor.

In Debbie’s own words, “I love you all so very much. I know you are going to miss me but promise no tears or grieving. For you all know I am in a better place. Laugh about the dumb things we’ve done together. Remember all the good times we’ve had. Camping, concerts, day tripping, partying, holidays, cookouts, movies, and travels to wonderful places. The trip out west with Ray was the best.”

Debbie is survived by her children, Lisa Stacy and Carl Stacy; bonus daughters, Arianna (Matt) Wirick, Cory (Ben) Marshall; 16 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Siblings, Ed (Sandi) Ball, Judy Monahan, Greg (Diane) Ball, Lynn (Linda) Ball, Sam (Tammy) Ball, and Betty (Ron) Trumbull, along with many nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Rita (Young) Ball, the father of her children, Rich Stacy, and longtime companion, Raymond Hawk. A "Red Bud" tree has been planted in Debbie and Ray's memories on the property of Ray's daughter, Arianna, in Ohio.

Per her request, Debbie’s ashes will be spread in a private ceremony, along with ashes of her beloved cats Abby and Phoebe, on South Padre Island, Texas, which was her favorite place.
