Dolores Medeles Reyes

Weslaco- Dolores "Lola" Medeles Reyes, 47, passed away on October 12th, 2017. She was born in Chicago Heights, IL on April 1st, 1970 and moved to Weslaco with her mom shortly after, where she would spend the rest of her life. Dolores was married for 20 years. She lived in Minnesota for 12 years where she was a homemaker and raised her children. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She had a precious gift to help others who were in need, her hospitality was like no other. Being a true housewife, Dolores was a bargain shopper. She could spot a bargain quicker than anyone and loved to find treasures at garage sales with her sister in law Berta and her mother in law Paula. Dolores also loved to sparkle and loved wearing her favorite jewelry. She loved to dress up and always made sure her make-up and nails complemented her outfits. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She had a contagious laugh that could make anyone smile. Dolores was a Christian woman who had faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a very active member of her local church "El Buen Samaritano" located in Willmar and Clarkfield Minnesota. She served in many areas alongside her pastor's for 12 years, aiding those in need, visiting and praying for the sick and the homeless. She will always be remembered as a sweet and loving woman who served those around her. We will carry her in our hearts forever. Dolores is preceded in death by her mom, San Juanita Medeles. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Reyes (Samantha) of San Antonio, daughters, Joann Juarez (Eujenio) of Weslaco, Jodie Reyes of Weslaco and son, A.J Govea of Weslaco, her grandchildren, Jennavie, Isaiah, and Christian Juarez, Ezhel, Alize and JLee Reyes, and father of her three older children, Joe Reyes. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from 3-9pm, with a memorial service being held at 6pm at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel in Weslaco.
