Weslaco - Dominga Torres Peralez, 87 passed away on Saturday, August 29th, 2015. Dominga was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on August 6th, 1928. She married Fortunato Peralez, who died at a very young age, Dominga remained a widow raising her 2 sons and daughter on her own. She is survived by her sister, Sofia Ybarra Lopez, her sons, Jaime Peralez () and Roy David Torres() and her daughter, Maria Torres Cano (). She also had numerous grandchildren, including, Jaime Peralez Jr, Priscilla Peralez, Joel Peralez, Patricia Hernandez, Ceaser Torres, Monica M Hernandez, David Torres, and Westley Torres. Her great-grandchildren include Hayden Carrol, Ceaser Torres Jr, Allyson Torres, Sydney Torres, Alexis Canstaneda, Brian Castaneda, Juan Mendoza Jr., Alexandra Mendoza, Nevaeh Torres, Ruby Ann Torres, Daniel Torres, and Sandy Torres. She is also survived by two nieces, Gladys Mendoza and Sofia Ethel Mendoza, a grand-nephew, Alan Rogelio Perez and three grand nieces, Gladys Michelle Perez, Anna Sofia Tamayo and Ethel Alessandra Tamayo.
Dominga will most be remembered as a very simple person. She was a devout Catholic, she loved flowers and birds. She especially loved her pets, especially her dogs. As one of her sons said, she was Mom and dad to all of her children. She was a beautiful and strong women and will be missed by many.
