Donald P. Weissman

Weissman, Donald P., age 83, currently of St. Cloud MN, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Helen (Beierlein) Weissman and brothers, Reuben, Vern, and Ken Weissman. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Sheree Hammond and Lori (Kyle) O'Dowd; grandchildren Angie Johnson, Tim (Nora) Hammond, Chris Hammond and Sara (Cody Puchalla) O'Dowd; great-grandchildren Devin, Preston, Carter, Paxton and Mason; siblings Pete (Linda) and Jerry (Edie) Weissman and their families; former wife Kathy Weissman; and long-time companion Carole Austing and family. After graduating from Mandan High School, Don enlisted into the United State Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he started his career at Honeywell in Minneapolis. After retirement, Don lived mainly in Pine City, MN and eventually moved to St. Cloud, MN, while spending his winter months in Texas. Don developed many close relationships throughout his life and leaves a legacy of friendship and generosity. His integrity and zest for life made Don's personality infectious. He loved spending time on the golf course, fishing on his pontoon, traveling, and playing cards with friends. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of St. Paul, 1740 Bunker Lake Blvd NE, Ham Lake, MN 55304 on Saturday, January 12th, 10:00am visitation and 11:00am mass with a luncheon to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, any memorials collected will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Pine City Lions Club
