Weslaco - Dora R. Cavazos, 82, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in Weslaco, Texas. The daughter of Urbano Reyna, and Dorotea Salinas Reyna, of La Joya, Texas. She was born in La Joya, Texas, on October 4, 1935. She attended high school in La Joya, Texas where she enjoyed participating in the school's marching band as a drum major. She went on to graduate at the top of her class in 1952. At a young age, she began a lustrous career at Magic Valley Electric Coop, where she enjoyed working until retiring after 45 years. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Noe A Cavazos Sr., after 57 years of marriage in 2014, grand-daughters, Crystal Marie Cavazos and Christina Cavazos, two brothers, Urbano Reyna Jr. (Lupe), From Harlingen, Texas, and Rene Reyna (Virginia), from Mission, Texas. She is survived by her four children, Noe A Cavazos, Jr. (Tomasa), of Weslaco, Texas, Zelma Lamas (Joe), Weslaco, Texas, Cynthia Barrera (Eddie), Buda, Texas, And Eduardo Cavazos (Pearl), Weslaco, Texas, a brother Victoriano Reyna (Elvira) Culver City, California, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Dora R. Cavazos leaves behind a life of faith may cherished memories and countless reminders that she shared with us throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those who got the chance to meet her. Services will be entrusted to the care of McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco, Texas. Viewing will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday, April 7, 2018, and Sunday, April 8, 2018, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Church mass will be Monday, April 9, 2018, at 9:30 am at St. Pius Catholic Church in Weslaco, Texas, burial will follow at 11:00 am, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Noe Cavazos III, Noel Cavazos, Tony Arroyo, Joe Lamas, Eduardo Cavazos, and Lupe Villalobos. Honorary Pallbearer will be Noe A.
