Weslaco - Douglas Paul Nunn, 59, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at his home in Weslaco. Doug was born on November 30, 1959, to Ronald Douglas Nunn and Betty Jenkinson Nunn in Mercedes, Texas. He grew up in Weslaco with brother Bryan and sister Connie.

Doug loved building dirt track race cars with his brother Bryan and father, “Ronnie.” They spent many weekends and evenings perfecting their hobby and created invaluable bonding and love.

Doug worked in construction most of his life and specialized in heavy machinery. He worked for numerous construction companies throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Doug loved his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, Bailey. He also looked forward to spending time with his daughters at South Padre during the Spring.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Nunn, and daughter, Mandy Nunn.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty one years, Amy Hoelscher Nunn, daughters, DeNee Lynn Villarreal (Jesse), Amanda Beth Nunn, Tiffany Stanly (Mike), granddaughter, Bailey Madison Morin, brother, Bryan Nunn, sister Connie Nunn, aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Leon Nunn, cousins, Cliff Nunn (Cathy), Craig Nunn (Patia), and Wendy Barber (Mike).

A celebration of Doug’s life will be Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Family Life Center, First Baptist Church in Weslaco, from 2-5 pm.
