Weslaco-Frances Hortense (Tinkey) Wilson, 88, was born on November 21, 1932 in Houston Texas. Tinkey passed away peacefully at her home in Weslaco, on Friday, July 30, 2021. Married 60 years, she was preceded in death by her one and only true love, James Onrow Wilson. Tinkey is survived by her only beloved son, Steve (Elsa) Wilson, from Weslaco, four grandchildren Priscilla (Earl) Lane from Weslaco, Luke (Ashley) Wilson from Cedar Park, Michael Quesada from Weslaco, and Amber (Jon) McKinley from Temple, six great- grandchildren Alina Quesada, Preston and Vaughn Lane, James and Bethany Wilson, and Penelope McKinley.
Tinkey enjoyed painting and baking. For a time she baked birthday cakes for Arturo’s Restaurant in Nuevo Progeso, Mexico. As well as birthday and wedding cakes for friends. Tinkey and Onrow loved country western and enjoyed dancing at Palm Aire every chance they had. They traveled all over America as well as other countries. Tinkey was a loving person and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation is Thursday August 5, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Burial will be at Weslaco City Cemetery at 10am Friday Aug 6, 2021.
