Guadalupe Garza

WESLACO – Guadalupe Reyna Garza, 84, peacefully passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, November 21, 2014, at her home. Lupe was born on July 29, 1930, in Mission, TX to Octoviano and Josefa Reyna. She married Francisco C. Garza, a proud U.S. Marine, and together they traveled the country for 20 years and raised five children who were all born in different states. She was a loving and caring mother to Ida Garza, Ricardo Garza, Debi Garza Chavez, Daniel Garza and Samuel Garza. She is survived by her sisters Maria Arredondo, Elida Sanchez and Lucinda de los Santos and brother Robert Reyna. Spanning five generations, Lupe was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Lupe is going to be deeply missed by many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at McCaleb Funeral Home, followed by Mass at St. Pius Catholic Church. She will be interred in Weslaco City Cemetery.
