MERCEDES - Guilibaldo Agado Jr., 57, passed away on July 21, 2019, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was born on January 24, 1962, to Guilibaldo Agado and Eloisa Ochoa Agado in Matamoros, Mexico where he was raised with ten siblings. He met his future bride when he was a teenager, Maricela Salazar. They were married in 1981 and spent the rest of their lives together. Guilibaldo and Maricela raised their four children in Florida where Guilibaldo worked in farming and agriculture. Guilibaldo was very intelligent and driven. He always worked his way up to supervisor wherever he was employed. He was a great role model for his children and provider to his family. When Maricela's father fell ill, Guilibaldo lovingly moved to the valley to care for him. Guilibaldo enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching the Chivas play soccer. He loved spending time with his wife, they were inseparable. He also loved spoiling his grandchildren. Guilibaldo is preceded in death by his parents, Guilibaldo Sr. and Eloisa Agado. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly forty years, Maricela, children, Ruben D Agado (Rosanna) of Seattle, Washington, Vanessa Agado (Oscar) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Michael Agado of Mercedes, Texas and Celia E Agado (Amaury) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, siblings, Javier Agado, Dora Cervantes (Cruz), Irene Hernandez , Idalia Cervantes, Martha Agado, Gloria Ruiz, Juanita Agado, Manuel Agado, Eva Agado, Josefina Agado, Felix Agado. Grandchildren, Oscar Sanchez Jr., Mia Anahlie Sanchez, Liliana Sanchez, Ruben Alessandro Agado Jr., Delilah Amelie Rose Agado, and Damian Leon Agado, numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, from 10am-9pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Burial will be held on Saturday, July 27, 10 am, at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
