Gustavo Gracia

Weslaco - Gustavo "Gus" Gracia, 68 passed away on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born on September 19, 1950, to Gustavo Gracia Sr. and Tabita Salazar in Reynosa Tamaulipas. Gustavo moved to Weslaco with his family when he was 12. On November 16, 1973, he married Laura and they raised three beautiful girls, Becky, Darline and Stephanie in Weslaco. Gustavo earned his GED and went to vocational school for two years, where he learned welding and diesel mechanics. Gustavo worked for Hidalgo & Cameron Counties Irrigation District # 9 and he was a diesel mechanic for Foremost Paving for many years. Gustavo enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, welding, making a good[BG1] barbeque and baseball. In his healthy years, he participated in church activities at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Gustavo is preceded in death by his parents, Gustavo Gracia Sr. and Tabita Gracia. He is survived by his wife Laura Gracia and three daughters, Becky Gracia, Darline Gracia and Stephanie Gracia all of Weslaco.
