WESLACO - Jacquelyn Warner, 98, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at John Knox Village in Weslaco. Jaqueline was born Hobart, Indiana to Donald Gilger and Martha Mackey. She was raised in Holberg by her mom, Martha, and step-dad, George Havilla. She graduated from high school in 1938. She married Chester Warner soon after high school. They raised four daughters in Hobart and were enjoyed the next 52 years together until Chester's death. Jaqueline worked for GTE as an office manager for nearly forty years when she retired. Jaqueline enjoyed traveling and she and Chester traveled all over the world, visiting most countries and most of the US. She also enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends and embroidery. Jaqueline moved to Alamo Country Club in 2005 and later to John Knox Village. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Havilla, birth father, Donald Gilger, loving husband, Chester Warner, and grandsons, Abbott Ayer and James Gadiel. Jaqueline is survived by her daughters, Lucille "Lynn" Roberts (Jay+) of Alamo, Georgiann Ayer (George)+ of Nashville, Indiana, Yvonne Warner (Julie Johnson) of Iowa City, Iowa, Janice Gadiel (Peter) of Kent, Connecticut, grandchildren, Amy Puls (Christopher), Sandra Herman (Brian), Danielle Ayer, Jeffrey Ayer, and Jaqueline Garn (Adam), Brian Clendin, Kirsten Gadiel, George Gadiel , and Jennifer Gadiel, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
