Jaime David Serna

Weslaco: Jaime "David" Serna, 41, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. On October 15, 1979, David was born to Jose "David" and Benilde "Bennie" Serna in Weslaco, Texas. David graduated from Weslaco Highschool, where he was active in football, baseball, and track. David continued his education, attending Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio and South Texas College.

David spent his career in customer service and excelled in his profession, winning numerous awards for his unique ability to make any customer happy. He spent the last few years working with Bank of America and used his excellent customer service skills to train new and tenured staff.

David had lots of friends and was sometimes the life of the party. He was an avid sports fan; football, baseball, basketball, and every sport in between was David's favorite pastime, and he enjoyed watching with friends.

David is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rafael Garcia and Hermelinda Trevino Garcia, and paternal grandparents, Isabel and San Juana Serna.

He is survived by his parents, David and Bennie Serna, wife Karla Serna, sons, David Anthony and Dereck A. Serna, and sister, Edna Serna.

Public visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2021from 10 am-9 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Mass will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 10 am, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco.
