Weslaco-James Henry Gledhill Sr., 73, passed away at Valley Grande Manor on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021. James was born on March 20th, 1948, to Walter Gledhill and Grace Gallat Gledhill in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. James grew up in Austin, Texas. He joined the US Army after high school. After being honorably discharged, James earned his Bachelor’s Degree. He also moved to the Rio Grande Valley and settled in Weslaco, where he spent most of his career working for Baxter Seed Company in sales.
James was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the beach. He was soft-spoken, had a great work ethic, and was a good provider.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Grace Gledhill. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Lupita Gledhill, children, Leo Leija of Weslaco, James Gledhill Jr. (Diana) of Selma, Texas, and Matt Gledhill (Nikki) of Spring Branch, Texas.
All services will be private.
