James Ian Terrell
July 21, 1983 - September 5, 2020
James passed away at the age of 37, September 5, 2020, after a bravely fought illness. He is survived by his two daughters, Isabella and Veronica, his parents, Lynn and Arnold, his brothers, Scott (Christine) Terrell, and Blake Terrell, nephew , Logan, his uncle, Douglas
(Bernadine) Agostini, his Grandmother, Patricia Gunter, and best friend, Luis Gonzalez.
James was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, the son of expats Lynn and Arnold. He spent his youngster years in Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela. He enjoyed his life-long friends and elementary school. He later went to boarding school, Vanguard, in Florida, for his middle and high school years. He was on the soccer team at Vanguard for several years, eventually playing in Florida All Star game his senior year.
He returned to Venezuela to work with his father in their own oilfield business. He eventually started his own business of crew boats that would work on a Lake Maracaibo. Later, due to political unrest in the country, his company was expropriated by the government. He continued to work then with his father, until the country became so unstable, he returned to the USA to pursue his career in the oilfield. Unfortunately, at that same time he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
He fought this battle for 5 years, until this cruel disease took him from us. He is resting in the arms of the Lord now. Pray for our son, James.
