Donna- Javier Balli, 59, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. The youngest of ten, Javier was born on July 16, 1959, to Reynaldo M Balli and Guillermina Guzman Balli. Javier grew up in Donna, where he graduated from Donna High School. He was a Donna Redskin football player and enjoyed watching football for the rest of his life. His favorite team was America's team, the Dallas Cowboys. He rivaled with the enemies on game day, all in good fun. After graduating high school, he contributed to the family businesses, RM Balli Enterprises, and Balli Ready Mix. He was always self-employed and later became a truck driver. Javier's main focus in life was his three beautiful daughters and his nine grandchildren. He was at every extra-curricular event cheering them on. He made it well known that his family was his pride and joy. Almost all of Javier's hobbies included sharing time with his family, whether it was watching sci-fi movies or every Star Trek episode, to camping or fishing. He loved having them by his side and they loved him. His loving and caring nature also extended to hundreds of children at Little Rascals Childcare throughout nearly 30 years. He was so loved by them in return, that they all called him "Uncle J". Another favorite nickname was "Papa Big Truck", coined by his oldest granddaughter, Kaylene, when she was only 2 because he'd bring home his semi-truck at the end of a trip. Javier was a hard worker and rewarded the family with several vacations during their childhood. Javier was able to visit Disney World, Hawaii, Japan and the Holy Land, to name a few favorites. Javier is preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo and Guillermina Balli and his brothers, Rolando and Ricardo Balli, grandchildren, Justice Jordyn and Logan John Camacho. He is survived by his loving daughters, Annette Padilla (David) of Donna, Patricia Balli-Camacho of Donna, and Cassie Valdez (Lee) of Weslaco, grandchildren, Candace, Gabriel, and Violet Padilla, Kaylene, Cadence, John II and Julius Camacho, Kendra and Dominic Javier Valdez, mother of his children, Karen Balli, sisters, Sandra Balli Ochoa (Noe) of Copperas Cove, TX, and Cynthia Balli Dominguez (Fred) of Donna, brother, Abelardo "Abie" Balli (Linda) of Donna, and, sister-in-law Rhonda Balli, and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, from 3-5pm, followed by a memorial service, 5 pm, at McCaleb Funeral Home.
