Jerrel D Stewart

Elsa- Jerrel D. Stewart, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019. He was born on January 15th, 1952 to Alven Lee Stewart Sr. and Wanda Hausenfluck Stewart. Jerrel grew up in Elsa and attended Edcouch Elsa high school where he excelled in football and basketball. After high school, Jerrel went to work for the Highway Department for the next twenty-five years. He was a truck driver, worked on equipment and anything in between. Jerrel was a strong supporter of his high school alma mater and never missed a Yellow Jacket football game. He also enjoyed gardening and hanging out with friends and the American Legion. Jerrel is preceded in death by his parents, Alven Sr. and Wanda Stewart, brother, Delbert Dean Stewart, and sister, Sandra Jean Kahn. He is survived by his brothers, Alven Lee Stewart Jr. (Deborah) of Pipe Creek, Texas and Marshall Stewart of Elsa, Texas, and nephew, Chad Evan Stewart.
