Jerry Lynn Brown

Weslaco- Jerry Lynn Brown, 61, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016. Jerry was born in Oklahoma City, OK to LaVeda (Brock) Brown and Kenneth Brown, Sr. on June 19, 1955. Jerry graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1973. He is survived by his wife, Gail Johnson-Brown, his mother LaVeda (Brock) Brown and his four wonderful children. Jeremy Brown (Julie); Lindsay Brown-McFarlane (Christopher); Robin Brown; Ashley Brown-Sottiaux (Robert) and five beautiful grandchildren...Spencer, Aubrey and Avery (Jeremy & Julie's son & daughters) Kavin (Lindsay & Christopher's son) and Felicity (Ashley & Robert's daughter). He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Brown, Sr., his brother, Kenneth Brown Jr., and his sister Wanda Jean (Brown) Quick. Jerry retired from the hotel industry in 2000 due to multiple illnesses. Before his illnesses he enjoyed traveling, working, going to the theater, watching movies and listening to live music. As he became home-bound he was a great "cat daddy" and movie buff. His favorite artist of all time was Todd Rundgren and he owned all of the albums that Todd produced. Jerry will be remembered for his warped sense of humor...which he shared with his wife...his sweet tooth and his love of all things "Polo".
