Jesus Cantu

Weslaco- Jesus Esteban Cantu, 76, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 17th, 2016. He was born on January 30, 1940 to Julian Chapa Cantu and Guadalupe Gonzalez Cantu. He was one of seven children and he is also the last surviving child. Jesus was loved by all of his nephews and nieces. He never married or had children, so they were very close. Jesus loved to spend time with his family and he loved to listen to music. He also loved to watch old western movies. He had cerebral palsy, so he was only able to use one hand, but he loved to write, color and even build things with blocks. He could do most everything he needed with one hand. Jesus is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Isabel Montemayor, Julian Cantu Jr., Guadalupe Valdez, Rodolfo Cantu, Olivia Pena, and Arturo Ramos. He is survived by his nephews and nieces, Julian Cantu (Carmen), Mary A. Colon (Candido), Juanita Martinez (Samuel), Esteban Cantu (Emma), Ricardo Cantu (Margaret), Jose Luis Cantu (Linda), Guadalupe Cantu, Daniel Cantu (Sandy), Rogelio Cantu (Lisa), Margaret Cantu Camargo (Robert), Isabel De la Rosa (Roy), Irene Ibarra (Noe), Rafael Cantu (Margie), and Bobby Cantu (Shannon), and numerous great nephews and nieces.
