Jose Cervantes

Weslaco: Jose Luis Cervantes, 82, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021. Jose was born on March 13th, 1938, to Jose Cervantes and Guadalupe Aguirre Cervantes in Mexico. He spent most of his life in Weslaco, where he graduated from high school and technical college. After earning his necessary education, Jose went to work in television repair. He worked for Jacob’s TV repair and Williams Repair for several years. Jose had an entrepreneurial spirit and eventually opened Mid Valley TV and Repair Services, which he owned and operated for the rest of his career. Jose was a smart man, he had his way of showing love. He loved to take his kids out to the track when they were young and spend time running. Jose was brilliant and self-taught, he learned how to read blueprints and even built his own home.
