Joyce L Moravitz

BURNET / WESLACO – Joyce Moravitz was born September 9, 1931 in West Columbia, Texas to Addie Mae and Fred Alburn. She had one sister, Janette Truitt, who was proceeded her in death. Joyce married Charlie Moravitz on December 15, 1949. They were married for 52 years. They had four children. Joyce worked at John Knox Village and bat Knapp Medial for 20 years in the dietary department. She is survived by her children Roger (Joan) Moravitz, Mark Moravitz, Mary Humphrey, Billy (Sandra) Moravitz, Nephew Roy (Mary) Moravitz and niece Tina Truitt, Grandchildren Leah, Mark, Lisa Moravitz, Mariah Berger, Mathew Koschitial, Malisah, Billy, Michael Moravitz, Lindsey Rodriguez and Becky Moravitz, plus 15 great-grandchildren. Special and sincere gratitude to Henrietta, Barbara, Prellen plus numerous others for the last three years of superior care at Oaks Nursing Home in Burnett Texas. Joyce loved cooking, painting, dominos and card playing but by far most she loved fishing at the beach. She loved walks along the shore looking for special sea shells, and treasurers for the sea. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. A Graveside Service will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Highland Memorial Park, 2pm.
