Progresso - Juan Vasquez Sr., 64, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at his home in Progreso, TX. Juan was born on May 27th, 1952 to Esperanza and Victoriano Vasquez. He married the love of his life, Catalina Maria Gonzalez on June 3rd, 1974. They would be blessed with four children, Juan, Alfredo, Erica and Richard. Juan worked hard to support his family. He most recently worked as a mechanic. He loved to dance and listen to music. He also really enjoyed raising chickens and eating fresh eggs. Juan is preceded in death by his father, Victoriano Vasquez. He is survived by his mom, Esperanza Vasquez, his loving wife of forty two years, Catalina Maria Gonzales, his sisters, Maria de los Angeles Vasquez, Maria Guadalupe Vasquez, Martha Vasquez, and Margarita Vasquez, his brothers, Ernesto Vasquez, Victoriano Vasquez, Marco Antonio Vasquez, and Oscar Vasquez, his children, Juan Vasquez and wife, Isis, of Corpus, Alfred Vasquez and wife, Lillian of Progreso, Erica Vasquez and husband, Julian of Progreso, and Richard Vasquez and wife, Daisy, of Weslaco, and his grandchildren, Alfredo Muniz Jr., Richard Vasquez Jr., Klaudet Alexa Vasquez, Janel Dee Vasquez, Joven Alizai Garcia, Brianna Lee Garcia, and Jose Alfredo Muniz. Visitation will be held from 8am to 9pm on Tuesday, August 2nd and McCaleb Funeral Home.
