Julian "120" Flores

December 27, 1966 — February 20, 2025

Julian "120" Javier Flores passed away on February 20, 2025, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas, at 58 years old. He was born on December 27, 1966, to Julian Flores Jr. and Avelina Rincon Flores.

He is Preceded in death by Julian Flores Jr (father). He is survived by Avelina Rincon Flores (Mother), siblings Jaime Flores and Cynthia F (Omero) Villa, and nieces Jenny (William) Ortiz and Julieza Flores.

At a very young age, he had a certain spunk for life. Always adventurous and ready to play. After Junior High, he dedicated his efforts in being a manager for the Weslaco Panthers football team. As a Little League player, he never knew that one day, he would PRODUCE CHAMPIONSHIPS as a coach. As a coach, he would pick up the kids, sometimes buying their gloves to keep them involved so they didn’t miss out on the field.

His participation in sports led him to coach the Weslaco youth football league team. Coming from a migrant family, his first job was taught by his father to drive a Tractor. It produced a few tears, but his brother, Jaime, joined him in helping ease those tears. Soon after, at fifteen, Julian got a job at Charles store, which eventually became the historic Fajita Palace.

He was a proud graduate of Weslaco High School class of 1985, a member of the student council, and a vigil. Once he graduated, Julian worked for his family business at Flores Insurance Agency. Later, he attended Pan American University, where his love of baseball continued, and 120 served as a manager for the Pan American Broncs Baseball Team.

Julian “120” later was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier.

Julian Invested his heart and time in his second family business, The Panthers Den.

Julian always loved the outdoors and sports. He enjoyed hunting, playing a great round of golf with his dad and friends, and bowling. Shortly after losing his father, The Lions honored his father with the Julian Flores Jr Golf Tournament to keep the memory of his contribution to help further Education.

120 was always ready to lend a helping hand to his community, and he was a proud member of The Weslaco Mid Valley Lions since 1986. Throughout the years, he served as Secretary, Tale twister, and President and earned Lion of the Year. He was also a proud member of the Weslaco Elks

Lodge 2057 since 2014.

Julian “120” served as Elected precinct chairman for Hidalgo County #58 and #112.

He was always a great supporter of all Weslaco ISD sports, and alongside his long-time best friend Marcos Hernandez LA Voz, he served as the spotter for the Weslaco football games for over three decades

He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
