Weslaco- Lewis Allan Stevenson, 64, passed away on Sunday, June 24th, 2018. He was born on May 10, 1954, to Robert Stevenson and Kathleen Erhart Stevenson in Lawrence, Kansas. His early years were spent in Ponca City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Lafayette, Louisiana where he graduated from Acadiana High School. Lewis had an adventurous spirit and in the early 1970's moved to San Francisco, California where he met and married the love of his life Anna Staeven in 1986. He became involved in the Silicon Valley tech movement and worked for various firms throughout his career. A private pilot, Lewis was extremely proud of the fact that he graduated from the University of California - San Jose with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering / Maintenance. Lewis loved woodworking and was also and avid reader. He was a member of Mensa International and was active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Lewis and Anna moved from California to North Carolina in 2000. Anna passed away after a short illness in 2010. Lewis moved to Weslaco this year to retire. Lewis is preceded in death by his father, Robert Stevenson and his wife, Anna Stevenson. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Stevenson, his sister, Peggy James and her husband, Phillip Marszal and two step-children, Bill Staeven (Nett) and Sara Staeven. Lewis will always be remembered for his kindness and for always being the smartest person in the room!
