Lorenzo married the love of his life on November 16, 1957, in Altus, Oklahoma, where they had their first two sons. They moved to California in 1962, for a brief time, where they welcomed their first daughter. They settled in the state of Washington in 1963, where they raised their six children. He earned his living by working as a field laborer. Lorenzo was a devout Catholic, a Cursillista, Knight of Columbus, and a devoted, faithful servant of his Church. In 1982, Lorenzo moved his family back to his home state of Texas where he worked as a maintenance contractor for the chemical industries until his retirement in 2001. Lorenzo settled in Weslaco, Texas, where he was a parishioner and greeter of St. Pius X Catholic Church. His warm smile and loving demeanor was the first thing many saw upon their arrival. Lorenzo was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, sports, music, and dancing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and making others feel joy. His greatest joy were his children and grandchildren. Lorenzo considered himself a wealthy man, not in material things, but in his faith and family. He would complete his day by reading Scripture from his Bible that was reverently kept by his favorite chair. He will forever be missed by those who love him most.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name, to St. Pius X, Tree of Life Building Fund.
