As a minister's wife, Peg was Art's secretary, Sunday school teacher, frequent pianist and the leader of numerous church committees and activities. During their retirement, Peg was the director of events for their community for ten years.

Peg and Art enjoyed over twenty years of retirement. They split their time between their camp on Groton Pond, which they called home, and their winter home at Rio Grande Estates. While in Vermont, Peg enjoyed boating, waterskiing and swimming. She loved to spend time with her three grandsons and great granddaughter. While in Texas, Peg enjoyed her time with her son and participating with friends in many community events. She loved to read and work on many different projects.

Peg is survived by her husband and life partner, Arthur William, her son, Bryan William, her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Margaret and John Michael, their three sons, Anthony William, Joshua Alexander, Luke Taylor Reed and one great-granddaughter, Anthony's daughter, Kaiulani Isabella, her dearest friend, Miriam Ward Derivan, Art's "brother" Danny Sherman, her brother-in-law William Carey Wimmer and niece, Laura Wimmer Stokes.
