WESLACO – Margurete Devine, 93, died at Valley Grande Manor nursing home in Weslaco, TX. Born October 21, 1921 in Yorktown, TX and moved to Weslaco, TX on September 17, 1977 from Zapata, Texas.
Survivors include, Son Michael Devine of Corpus Christi, daughter Kathy Marshall of Weslaco TX, grandsons Joe Devine and Leighton Devine from Corpus Christi, TX, Jason Watkon from Austin, TX and H.R. Watkon from San Antonio, TX. Also, one sister Barbara Edwards from Orange, TX.
She was a JP in Hidalgo County. She also was a member with the Weslaco Elk Lodge of the auxiliary in Weslaco.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015, 10am at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, TX. Pastor J. J. Wicker with the First United Methodist Church in Weslaco will officiate the funeral service.
Funeral arrangements are under the directions of McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
