Maria E. De La Rosa

Maria E. de la Rosa died peacefully in her home in Weslaco, Texas on February 8. She was 86 years old. She is survived by her ten children; Irene (Pablo) Huerta, Reymundo de la Rosa, Elena (Terry) Chambliss, Juanita (Wilfred) Garcia, Antonio (Sulema) de la Rosa, Estela (Danny) Garcia, Raquel (John) Veach, Roy (Isabel) de la Rosa, Ruben (Barbara) de la Rosa, and Nancy (Rey) Roman. She is survived by twenty-six grandkids, thirty-eight great grand kids and fifteen great-great grand kids. Also, by three sisters and three brothers. Mrs. de la Rosa is preceded in death by her husband Maximino "Max" de la Rosa. She was an active member of St. Pius Catholic Church. She enjoyed her garden but her greatest joy was raising her ten children and grandchildren. Special thanks to IPH Hospice for the loving care of our beloved mother. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9th from 4pm to 9pm with a 7pm prayer service at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 10th, 10am at St. Pius Catholic Church in Weslaco with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care of McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco.
