Maria E. Torres

Maria E. Torres, a lifelong resident of Donna, Texas, died on July 20th, 2021 at the age of 75 at Weslaco Nursing and Rehab. Maria was born in Weslaco, Texas on April 9th, 1946 to Juan and Maria Torres. Maria was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done and playing bingo while at the nursing home.

Maria is predeceased by her parents Juan and Maria Torres and her son, Marcelino Rodriguez.

Maria is survived by her children, Angie Rodriguez, Norma A. Torres, Juan Torres (Maria), Maria Torres, and Jennifer Landeros (Orlando), nineteen grandchildren, Manuel Flores Jr (Sarai Flores), Rocky Flores (Samantha), Samantha Villegas (Leonel Villegas), Marcelino Rodriguez Jr., Jonathan Torres, Daphne Torres, Damon Vela, Destiny Vela, Norma Vela, Jazmine Varela, Mariah Lopez, Delilah Butron, Daliah Butron, Frances Butron, Desiree Torres, Marcus Torres, Austin Torres, Alliyah Landeros, Julian Landeros, ten great-grandchildren, Alexa Flores, Adelyn Flores, Allison Flores, Aleyna Flores, Rocky Flores Jr., Bella Flores, Ryan Flores, Jade Trevino, Tyson Villegas, and Prudence Cane.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 21st, from 10 am-9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 22nd, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco, followed by burial at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
