Mario Alberto Rodriguez

Mercedes- Mario Alberto Rodriguez, 50, passed away on Friday, November 16th, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He bravely battled cancer for seven months, yet, no matter what kind of pain he was in, he kept smiling and cracking jokes. Mario was born on June 14th, 1968 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas to Lucio Rodriguez and Bertha Moctezuma. He immigrated to the United States at the age of seven and worked as a migrant for the next ten years. He settled in the Rio Grande Valley and married his beautiful wife, Marcela Guevara on December 18, 1997. Together, they had two children and Mario worked tirelessly to provide a better life for his family. He always made sure to attend his children's school activities. Mario strived to create the most wonderful memories with his loved ones. Mario always saw the positive side of things, made everyone laugh with his sense of humor, and never hesitated to go the extra mile for anyone who needed him. Mario is survived by his loving wife, Marcela, daughter, Samantha, son, Mario Jr., parents, Lucio and Bertha Rodriguez, sister, Nohemy Guajardo, nephews, Antonio Rodriguez, Samuel Guajardo, Gery Guajardo, Genesis Guajardo, niece, Giovanni Guajardo, and numerous cousins. He will always be remembered by his strong work ethic, infectious laughter, and kind spirit.
