Maxine Sovey

Maxine S Sovey, 93, of Donna, Texas, formerly of Flint & Owosso, Michigan, died in Weslaco, Texas on October 9th, 2016 at Valley Grande Manor. According to her wishes she has been cremated and with no memorial service. Maxine was a lifelong parishioner of the Lutheran faith. Loving mother to Gary (Lila) Jones of Donna, Texas, Jackie (Loren) Arrand of Davison, MI., Wendy (David) Ross of Owosso, MI, grandchildren, Mark Vernon (Delma), Kelly Faust (Fred), Matthew Jones (Adrenne), Lisa Fullingim (James), Heather Cunningham (Ryan), Dana Fiske (Shawn), 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and loving friends, Dorothy, Joan, and Dave. Preceded in death, parents, Ferdinand & Anna Forster, brother Cliff Forster, husband Frank Sovey, grandchildren Renee Ricca, Blake Vernon, and son-in-law, Ronald Vernon. She loved playing cards, going to casinos, reading, watching sports of all kind, cooking (which she was great at!), and being surrounded by family. We would like to thank Dr. Sepulveda and the nurses and caregivers of Valley Grande Manor. In remembrance of Maxine, you may give to the charity of your choice.
