Miguel Angel Medrano Sr., 62, of Weslaco, Texas, sadly passed away on August 7, 2024, at Knapp Medical Center. He was born on May 10, 1962, to Antonio and Maria Cruz (Banda) Medrano. Miguel married Maria de Jesus Sanchez when he was a young adult, and they raised eight children together.
Miguel worked hard so that Maria could be a full-time homemaker. He worked in the fields of Lamesa, Texas, for years but later found a more lucrative job as an oilfield worker in West Texas. Eventually, Miguel found his true calling, which was construction. His talent, work ethic, and sense of style were a great combination. A family man through and through, Miguel's proudest accomplishments revolved around his loved ones. He adored his wife, children, and grandchildren, going above and beyond to ensure their needs were always met. Family gatherings, orchestrated by Miguel, were cherished moments filled with joy and laughter – times that he held dear to his heart.
Miguel's vibrant personality was exemplified by his love for music, dancing on any occasion, and his knack for lightening the mood with his jokes. Those who knew him well will fondly remember his favorite line, "Ariva Miguel Medrano," often shouted after a few drinks, creating lasting memories of his joyful spirit.
